How to Calculate Winnings, expenses, and initial money:

Total Combat Value of Opposing lance minus the total CV lost plus 1d20 times
1000 * 6 * 1d4.

(TCVOL - TCVLost) * 1000 * (6 * 1d4) = Winnings in C-bills.

Pay for Mechjocks:
Base pay plus an additional 1000 cbills for each stat above 4 for gun and 5
for pilot.

Cost of mechjock =
(1d12 * 10000) + ((4 - actual skill) * 1000) + ((5 - actual skill) * 1000)

Base Maintinece for mechs:
The combat value of the mech times the number of HS (extra's besides the IS
built in. ) Double the number if double HS. Plus the engine rating after
multiplying.

(CV * (#EHS)) + engine rating = Base Maintence cost in c-bills.

Base Technician pay:
In addition to the cost of normal maintance, the techs that perform the work

Base Technician pay:
In addition to the cost of normal maintance, the techs that perform the work
must be paid. There must be a tech for each mech. The cost of the tech is
calculated by multiplying the CV of the mech times the number of hours worked
on average per week on the mech and dividing that total by 15. The average
number of hours is found by dividing the engine rating by ten and adding the
tonnage of the mech.

[CV * ((ER/10) + TOM)] / 15 = Tech cost in c-bills.

Expendables and other repairs:
Expendables cost as listed and the repairs only cost the cost of the parts.

Inital staring money is equal to:

BSM + MTSM = total starting money after lnace is purchase in c-bills.

Base starting money:
Ten million c-bills base plus bonus or penalties depending on weight of lance.
Add one million for each light mech (10 to 45 tons). Add nothing for each
medium mech (50 to 65 tons). Subtract one million for each heavy mech (70 to
80 tons) and subtract two million for each assault mech (85 to 100 tons).

10,000,000 + (Total bonuses - Total penalites) = Base starting money in C-bills

Modifications to starting money:
For each Level 1 tech mech (3025, 3026 tech readouts, mechs in 3rd edition box)
add 2 million to base starting money. For each level two mech (2750, 3050,
and 3055) there is a no penalty. For each level three mech (3058, tactical
handbook, LAMs, and mechwarrior unbound) there is a penalty of one million
dollars. For each Level 3 mech as defined in the IS_CSTM file, using a
com system, as defined in COM_SYS.TBL there is a penalty of a quater of a
million c-bills.

(L1M * 2000000) - (L3M * 1000000) - (L3CSTM * 250000) = Modified cost.
